Perfect for online lectures and presentations.

  • Just import your desired content matter, choose any one of the included templates, and select your video stream source - it's that easy!

  • Broadcast and control a Live presentation, and easily archive it complete with synchronized slides so that viewers can watch it later as an On-Demand presentation. Convert your archived live presentation into an on-demand presentation in only 5 mouse clicks!

  • Intuitive presentation authoring wizard guides you step by step through the entire process of creating a live or on-demand presentation.

  • Works with XStream RapidShare™ Media Management Server (MMS). This rich, web-based media management system provides secure, interactive shared websites for managing, scheduling, cataloging, tracking, and reporting on live broadcasts and on-demand media presentations.

  • Includes a complete set of DHTML and HTML templates that you can easily customize with your own logo, picture, and lecture information. Includes audio-only templates, and allows you to set default values.

  • Works with Real and Microsoft Windows Media formats.

  • Helix Server is supported for Real Media streaming.

  • Presentation properties can be automatically extracted from a PowerPoint file.

  • Build steps and animations are preserved in the published presentation.

  • Your slide content is visible in a list at the right side of the screen. Jump to any slide at any time. You may even enter URL's or GIF or JPG images, and jump to those just like slides. Change the order of your presentation by moving content up and down.

  • Any slide can be a URL. The URL's content will be displayed in the slide window during the presentation. Great for Flash animations, PDF files, or even Word or Excel content.

  • Cause a web page to open up in a new window in sync with your slides. Synchronize anything with your presentation – a web page, an Excel document, a Word document, a graphic file – anything that you can open in a browser, you can now synchronize with your presentation. You also have the ability to specify the web page frame, or the location and size of the window for the URL tour feature.

  • Create your streaming media, right at your desktop. Record your video or audio presentation, encode it, and synchronize your presentation content, all at your desktop, all within sofTV.Presenter.

  • You can also import a previously encoded streaming media file and synchronize your content slides and notes to create a synchronized multimedia presentation.

  • Works with Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers. Note that sofTV.Presenter v5.0 is optimized for the latest IE and Netscape browsers.

  • Automatically creates navigable Table of Contents that allows the viewer to jump back and forth in the video/audio and slide presentation to their point of interest.

  • Automatically creates navigable Thumbnail images of the slides, that allow the viewer to jump back and forth in the slide presentation without interrupting the video flow.

  • For Live presentations, works with sofTV.PowerPoint Add-In. As the speaker navigates through their PowerPoint slides running on their laptop, sofTV.PowerPoint Add-In causes the web based slides to change in real-time!

  • For Live presentations, sends synchronization triggers to sofTV.TriggerMaker to synchronize slides across multiple streams at once (different formats and bit rates).

  • Preview playback engine allows you to preview your presentation to see how it works before publishing it.

  • Creates SCORM-compliant and 508-compliant presentations.

Features in Version 5.0:

  • Extracting Presentation Segments – You can extract segments of a presentation and publish them as separate presentations. An extracted segment contains the same elements as the full presentation (i.e., the video, slide timings, slide content, notes, etc. would all be elements of the presentation segment).

  • Desktop Screen Capturing – During a live presentation, the host/presenter can capture screenshots from any region of the desktop and dynamically add the images into the live presentation slide list without the need to re-publish.

  • Closed Captioning – Several built-in sofTV.Presenter templates include captioning support. The web audience sees each word highlighted as it is being spoken, with an option to accumulate the text or show only the most recent transcript.

  • Downloadable Documents – Several of sofTV.Presenter’s built-in templates provide users with the ability to download files (such as PowerPoint files, documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, etc.) while viewing the presentation.

  • Updated User Interface – The sofTV.Presenter interface has been completely redesigned with a modernized ribbon-based menu (similar to Office 2007).

  • Q&A Support – During a live presentation, the remote viewers may submit e-mailed questions to be read out by the host/presenter. Selected presentation templates include a field to enter a question and a Send button to send e-mail to a person moderating the event.

  • Instant Archive of Live Presentation – The host/presenter may immediately publish a live presentation as an on-demand archive, thus allowing the live presentation to be quickly archived and published to the Internet before beginning the next live presentation.

  • Improved HTML Chat – Several built-in sofTV.Presenter templates include HTML chat support. The HTML chat region is based on HTML rather than Java, and therefore does not require any plug-ins.

  • Windows Media Encoder Option – The user has option to replace sofTV.Presenter’s built-in input source settings, viewer (encoded content), and start-record function with the complete Windows Media Encoder application. This enables the user to substitute sofTV.Presenter’s basic encoding functionality with Microsoft’s full complement of source device support, settings, functions, and panel views (e.g., record audio level).

  • Alternate Path for Embedded Slide Videos – sofTV.Presenter v5.0 provides an option to link embedded video clips (contained within PowerPoint slides) from a streaming server rather than storing them locally. Streaming a video relieves pressure from the web server and provides rapid playback.

  • Set Background Color for Slide Region – With many of the templates in sofTV.Presenter containing smaller slide regions, the borders to the left and right often show a background color that is different from the slide content. sofTV.Presenter now allows these spaces to be set to a specified color before publishing.

  • Secure FTP – sofTV.Presenter v5.0 includes an option to use Secure FTP (SFTP), which uses SSL encryption for the purpose of securing an FTP transfer. Published presentations and video files are transferred over the Internet/Intranet using a secured connection.
