New Version 4 of award-winning streaming media software integrates with XStream RapidShare ™ Media Management Server (MMS) for complete scheduling, tracking, and reporting on live and on-demand presentations.

OTTAWA, Canada, August 15, 2005 – sofTV.net, a division of XStream Software Inc. that provides software solutions for advanced media presentation authoring, has released sofTV.Presenter v4.0 , the latest version of the popular sofTV.net software tool that enables users to create web-based multimedia presentations quickly and easily. sofTV.Presenter v4.0 provides a variety of powerful new features, which further enhance the technology's capabilities to record, encode and broadcast streaming video or audio, synchronized with PowerPoint slides and notes.

New features available in sofTV.Presenter v4.0 include the following:

• Integration With Media Management Server (MMS) – sofTV.Presenter v4.0 provides support for publishing and scheduling presentations in the XStream RapidShare Media Management Server ( MMS ). XStream RapidShare MMS is a rich, web-based media management system (within the XStream RapidShare hosted web environment and digital workspace) that can manage, schedule, catalog, track, and report on live broadcasts and on-demand media presentations created with sofTV.Presenter. A user (with appropriate rights) can easily log in to the MMS module and publish the web content and/or media content to the MMS. Published presentations in the MMS can be scheduled to be started/viewed by authorized users at a specific date and time.
  
  
• Presentation Authoring Wizard – sofTV.Presenter v4.0 now includes an intuitive presentation authoring wizard. Using a simple series of dialog boxes, the developer is guided step by step through the entire process of creating a live or on-demand presentation.
  
  
• DHTML Templates – sofTV.Presenter v4.0 expands the available presentation templates by including DHTML templates in the template library (in addition to the HTML templates). The DHTML templates can be easily edited using sofTV.Author.
  
  
• Insert Slides From Multiple PowerPoint Files – In sofTV.Presenter v4.0, the developer may select and import slides from multiple PowerPoint files using the Slide Finder (accessible from the My Content pane). All or selected slides from different PPT files may be inserted at any point in the presentation.
  
  
• Configure Audio/Video Input – sofTV.Presenter v4.0 provides options to configure all the input line(s) for any audio/video device available on the system running sofTV.Presenter.
  
  
• Preview Presentations – sofTV.Presenter v4.0 includes a preview playback engine . The user may preview a presentation to see how it works before publishing it.
  
  
• Scaleable Slide Thumbnails – In sofTV.Presenter v4.0, the slide thumbnail images in the My Content pane are now scaleable. When the user expands/widens the My Content pane (by dragging the window bevel), the slide thumbnail images are increased in size accordingly. This enables the thumbnails to be viewed in much greater detail as required.
  
  
• Improved Interface – The look of the sofTV.Presenter v4.0 interface has been enhanced with more intuitive buttons present on the steps bar.
  
  
• Support for Helix Server – The Helix Server is now supported in sofTV.Presenter v4.0 for Real media streaming.
